Human herpes virus type 7 (HHV7)
Human Herpesvirus 7 (HHV-7 or HHV7) is a T-lymphotropic virus. It is typically acquired in early childhood and has been associated with roseola-like illness, febrile seizures, and, in rare cases, neurological complications. In immunocompromised individuals, reactivation may contribute to transplant-related complications. Accurate detection is important for clinical assessment and research.
HHV-7 PCR kits based on real-time PCR technology provide a sensitive and specific method for detecting HHV-7 DNA in human samples. These molecular diagnostics tools deliver accurate and reproducible results in routine and specialized laboratory workflows. Available in research use only (RUO) format and optionally in CE IVD-marked version, these PCR assays support a variety of applications, including herpesvirus detection from clinical samples and differentiation, CNS infection studies, and transplant patient monitoring.
