Escherichia coli / Escherichioses multiplexes
Escherichia coli (E. coli) is a diverse bacterial species commonly found in the human gut. While most strains are harmless, pathogenic variants can cause a wide range of infections, including urinary tract infections, neonatal meningitis, and intestinal diseases such as hemorrhagic colitis and hemolytic uremic syndrome. Rapid and specific identification of pathogenic subtypes is critical for effective diagnosis and public health monitoring.
E. coli / Escherichioses multiplex PCR kits based on real-time PCR technology provide a sensitive and specific method for qualitative detection and differentiation of diarrheagenic E.coli (EPEC, ETEC, EIEC (in conjunction with Shigella spp.), EHEC, and EAgEC) in human and environmental samples. These molecular diagnostics tools deliver accurate and reproducible results in routine and specialized laboratory workflows. Available in CE IVD-marked formats for diagnostic workflows and research use only (RUO) versions, these multiplex PCR assays support a wide range of applications including gastrointestinal infection diagnostics, outbreak investigations, and antimicrobial resistance studies from clinical samples.
