CH (subgroup of TORCH): CMV, HSV
The "CH" subgroup of the TORCH panel includes Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Herpes Simplex Virus types 1 and 2 (HSV-1 and HSV-2, or HSV1 and HSV2, or HSVI and HSVII), two viral pathogens capable of causing congenital infections and severe complications in neonates and immunocompromised individuals. Early detection is critical for preventing long-term neurological and developmental consequences.
CMV and HSV-1/2 (HSV1/2, or HSV-1,2, or HSVI,II, or HSV 1+2, or HSVI+II) PCR kits based on real-time PCR technology offer a sensitive and specific method for detecting CMV and HSV DNA in human samples. These molecular diagnostics tools offer accurate and reproducible results in routine and specialized laboratory workflows. Available in CE IVD-marked formats for diagnostic use and research use only (RUO) versions, these PCR assays support a wide range of applications such as viral infection testing and diagnosis, prenatal screening, neonatal infection monitoring, and viral load assessment in research studies.
Only selected kits from our portfolio are mentioned in this category. Please find more CMV and HSV assays in category Herpes-virus infections.
