Meningitis
Meningitis is a serious inflammation of the meninges, commonly caused by viral, bacterial, or fungal pathogens. Rapid identification of the infectious agent is essential for initiating appropriate treatment and improving patient outcomes, particularly in life-threatening cases of bacterial meningitis.
Meningitis PCR kits based on real-time PCR technology provide a sensitive and specific method for detecting nucleic acid of a broad range of meningitis-causing pathogens such as Listeria monocytogenes, Neisseria meningitidis, Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV), in human samples, including cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). These molecular diagnostics tools offer accurate and reproducible results in routine and specialized laboratory workflows. Available in CE IVD-marked formats for diagnostic workflows and research use only (RUO) versions, these PCR assays support comprehensive testing for pathogens from clinical samples.
